About
Adam works as a Research Assistant for the Department of Psychology and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is currently an Andrew Mellon Fellow in the Humanities and an Andrew Mellon Fellow in Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism. Adam is also a copy editor for the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy and has served as a reviewer for professional academic journals such as Language Sciences (Elsevier) and Psychology of Music (SAGE). Some of his recent awards include the Phi Beta Kappa Elmaleh Prize for best essay in the social sciences and the Elizabeth F. Flower Prize for best essay in philosophy.
Adam's most recent publication appeared in Frontiers in Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology (2012) and his publication in the May issue of Language Sciences (2011) has been ranked #6 of the journal's "Top 25 Hottest Articles" of the year by ScienceDirect. Adam has also published in other journals such as Integrative Psychological & Behavioral Science (2012), South African Journal of Philosophy (2010) and Dialogue: Journal of Phi Sigma Tau - International Honor Society in Philosophy (2008, 2010) and he's affiliated with various groups including the American Psychological Association, American Society for Aesthetics, Aristotelian Society, British Wittgenstein Society, European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music, Linguistic Society of America, and the Society for Philosophy and Psychology.
Adam’s a native of Redondo Beach, California, and loves dogs, music (especially jazz, hip hop, and blues), lifting weights, and dark chocolate.
