About
I am primarily interested in the Histories of Medicine in South Asia. I am interested in both the vernacularized forms of 'western' medicine, as well as the region's various 'indigenous' medical traditions.
Besides medicine, I have also published on the history of sport and Victorian popular culture.
Thematically, I am most interested in issues of vernacularization, subalternity, 'experience', temporalities, non-historical pasts, and lately, 'globalization'.
