About
My PhD thesis investigated the social history of rural colonial Bengal through the songs of the heterodox Baul religions.
I completed my BA (Hons) in English Literature from Presidency College, Calcutta in 2000. Subsequently, I obtained my MA from Jadavpur University, Calcutta in 2002 and my MPhil from Delhi University in 2005. I was a Felix Fellow at SOAS, University of London from 2005-2009.
