About
I am currently on a Fundação Luso-Americana and Torre do Tombo grant based in Lisbon, Portugal. I was a 2010/2011 U.S. Fulbright Fellow based in Lisbon for the September 2010 to June 2011 period, and a Junior Visiting Researcher at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais of the University of Lisbon from November 2010 to June 2011. I hold a B.A. in History, Modern Middle Eastern Studies, and in African Studies magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, U.S.A. My current Masters dissertation at the ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute focuses on forced labor and the Mozambique Company from the late 19th to mid-20th century.
